This exercise is simple. Let’s just quickly outline its purpose. The phrases and words that we use on daily basis reflect our inner state and the polarity that we have chosen for ourselves. For example, if we often use the negation ‘’No.’’, that makes it pretty clear which polarity we have chosen for ourselves currently. Therefore, the purpose of this exercise is to change yourself by changing the way in which you are utilizing (reprogramming) your neuro-linguistic software (your language).
The first step is to create a list with all those negative and non-affirmative phrases that you are using on daily basis.
Then put them in the right column of your cross (click on the link if you are still not familiar with the ‘’cross’’ exercise) and see how you can make them positive and affirmative.
For example, replace all the mights, maybes and perhapses with the affirmative yes.
Replace your ‘’No, because’’ with ‘’Yes and’’ or other positive answers:
-Are you coming to the cinema tonight?
-̶ ̶N̶o̶,̶ ̶b̶e̶c̶a̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶I̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶p̶l̶e̶n̶t̶y̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶h̶o̶u̶s̶e̶w̶o̶r̶k̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶d̶o̶.̶
